Hemp (cannabis) is one of the oldest useful plants on earth. The individual components of the herbaceous plant can be used to produce a wide variety of useful products, such as ropes, textiles, edible oil or essential oil. The hemp variety Cannabis sativa in CBD Vida is a legal, low-THC special breed from Swiss cultivation. For the high-quality hemp extract, individual substances are not isolated, but all ingredients are retained. For example, CBD Vida contains the cannabinoids cannabidiol (CBD), cannabigerol (CBG), cannabitriol (CBT), cannabichromene (CBC) and many more. CBD serves as the lead substance, which is used analytically to standardise the hemp extract. The variety used is characterised by a somewhat milder taste compared to others.

Raw material from Switzerland

It is important to us to use the highest quality ingredients possible. We therefore use pure traditional hemp, which is grown in the cantons of Thurgau and St. Gallen and harvested by hand. The hemp is then subjected to an extraction process. This reduces the THC content to an absolute minimum, while at the same time protecting the desired ingredients.

Coconut oil and lecithin from sunflowers

The valuable ingredients in CBD Vida are liposomally dissolved in MCT coconut oil using sunflower lecithin. MCT stands for “medium chain triglycerides”. Both lecithin and MCT oil increase the water solubility of the mouthwash concentrate.

Taste and appearance

CBD Vida has a slight peppermint flavour (due to pure organic peppermint oil), it is dark brown and slightly thick. The drops dissolve well in water, making it cloudy (milky).

What is CBD Vida used for?

CBD Vida is a concentrate for making a mouthwash. A study* shows that a mouthwash containing cannabinoids has as strong an effect on killing oral germs as the widely used antiseptic chlorhexidine.
