SLM ECO® – The innovative base lotion that mimics the lipid matrix
Like all products from our “SLM Skin Repair” line, Hydrating Skin Lotion is based on a natural, lecithin-based emulsifier system called SLM ECO®. This cream base is a three-dimensional, lamellar structure that resembles the lipid matrix within the cornea and therefore significantly supports the skin’s natural protective function. This effect has been proven by a study.

What is a “lecithin-based emulsifier system”?
Lecithins are phospholipids, they occur as structural components of cell walls in plants and living organisms, thus also in the human body. Lecithins also serve as natural emulsifiers (enable the mixing of fats and water). In SLM ECO®, hydrogenated phosphatidylcholine from sunflower is used. Together with other lipids (squalane, ceramides and phytosterols), Hydrating Skin Lotion can contribute to the regeneration of an impaired lipid matrix (“skin repair effect”) through its nourishing action.
No «Wash-out-Effect»
With SLM Hydrating Skin Lotion, there is no “wash-out effect” as is often the case with high-performance synthetic emulsifiers. Here, the skin lipids are solubilized (made soluble) and washed out of the skin during the next wash. This opens up an innovative, skin-friendly solution for natural cosmetics.
Hydro-Gain® with birch bark extract and prickly pear seed oil
Hydro-Gain® contains a birch bark extract as well as prickly pear seed oil. Both birch trees in the arctic tundra and cacti in the desert have to hold their own in places of extreme drought and protect themselves accordingly. Both plants contain substances that support the skin barrier and improve water retention. The effect of this mixture of potent, natural moisturizers has also been proven by clinical studies.

Sweet almond oil
Almond oil has a content of over 90% of essential mono- and di-unsaturated fatty acids. Particularly noteworthy are the oleic acid and linoleic acid. Oleic acid-containing oils can be spread very well on the skin and create a pleasantly soft skin feeling. The nourishing effect of almond oil makes the lipid barrier more permeable and more receptive to other nourishing substances. The oil penetrates deep into the callus and keeps it moist.
Jojoba oil
Jojoba oil is basically a liquid wax. It consists of almost 100% liquid, long-chain wax esters, which are very similar to the esters of which human sebum is composed. Therefore, jojoba oil mixes very well with this and forms a lipid film, which, however, does not seal completely, but remains permeable to oxygen and water vapor.
Mango butter
Mango butter is extracted from the seeds of the mango fruit and contains various important fatty acids and tocopherols (a form of vitamin E). Mango butter is well absorbed into the skin layers, moisturizes the skin, gives suppleness and elasticity and supports cell renewal.
α-Bisabolol (Dragosantol)
The α-bisabolol is the main component of chamomile oil, which is extracted from the true chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla). Due to its nourishing effect, it has a soothing effect on the skin.
D-Panthenol (Dexpanthenol)
D-panthenol increases the skin’s moisture retention capacity and has nourishing, regenerating and soothing properties. We focus on a high content of nourishing D-panthenol.
Gentle production – “crème cold stirred”
In contrast to the usual production of creams, all manufacturing steps of SLM Skin Repair products take place exclusively at room temperature. Thanks to a special technique, no intermediate heating is necessary. This means that all valuable ingredients are optimally preserved and their effect can fully unfold.

Product Info Clear Skin Gel
Dermatologically tested. Gel with Aloe vera, Artemisia, Phytoderm® (liquorice root extract), usNeo® (bearded lichen extract) and D-Panthenol (Provitamin B5). Net content 15 ml. The Gel is in stock.
Careful Production
In order to preserve the valuable ingredients, we work with a special, intensive mixing process, in which the ingredients are not heated (as is often the case elsewhere), but gently combined at room temperature and processed into a Gel.
Application
- Clean affected skin with suitable, mild soap
- Apply Clear Skin Gel lightly to the affected areas and massage in thoroughly (massaging in has a significant effect on the soothing effect)
- Clear Skin Gel is best used several times a day (at least in the morning and before bedtime)
- During the day it is not necessary to clean the skin beforehand
- After the Gel has dried, areas can be covered with a concealer if necessary
Packaging and Design
The Design appeals to teenagers and young adults, but the product is equally suitable for all age groups. The dispenser with the small opening helps to achieve an ideal and economical dosage. In the airtight bottle, the valuable ingredients are protected from oxygen and oxidation (Airless Pump). Several pump strokes are required at the outset until the gel emerges from the bottle. The size of the bottle has been chosen so that it fits well in any pocket and the product can be used easily on the go.
