NADH = Coenzyme 1

The abbreviation NADH stands for Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide hydride. This long name is difficult to pronounce so NADH is also simply called Coenzyme 1. It is called Coenzyme because NADH is enmeshed with other similar substances in the respiratory cycle.
